NEW YORK, Nov. 29, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Dr. Dorina Leibu, Attending Anesthesiologist at North American Partners in Anesthesia (NAPA), has been elected to the American Health Council’s Board of Physicians. With expertise in Anesthesia and Cardiac Anesthesiology, Dr. Leibu brings to the American Health Council 36 years within the healthcare industry.
Growing up in Romania, Dr. Leibu witnessed a high percentage of the population in rural areas that needed proper health care. This observation prompted her desire to make a difference. She went on to pursue her MD at Grigore T. Popa University of Medicine and Pharmacy, an institution located in Iași, Romania. Dr. Leibu has also held an Anesthesiology Residency at St. Joseph’s Medical Center, along with a Cardiac Fellowship in Anesthesiology and a General Surgery Internship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
At NAPA, Dr. Leibu’s day to day responsibilities include providing care in various healthcare facilities throughout the state of New Jersey. She attributes her continuous success to remaining honest and forthright with her patients, as well as the hard work and focus which earned her place within the field of Medicine.
Among her myriad of accomplishments, Dr. Leibu is most proud of completing her Fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. She is certified from the American Board of Anesthesiology and the Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography-National Board of Echocardiography.
Dr. Leibu is affiliated with multiple associations, including the American Society of Anesthesiology, the New Jersey State Society of Anesthesiology, the New York Society of Anesthesiology, as well as the Israeli Society of Anesthesiology.
Concerning the future, her goals within the next 5 years are to continue learning about new techniques and practices to better serve her patients. In her spare time, Dr. Leibu enjoys traveling, swimming, writing, and practicing yoga.
