Bayshore Networks Joins Dell Internet of Things Partner Program

BETHESDA, Md., Dec. 14, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Bayshore Networks, a leading provider of cyber protection for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), today announced it has become a member of the Dell IoT Solutions Partner Program. The agreement initially includes the Bayshore Industrial Cyber Protection Platform, which has been certified to run on Dell Edge Gateways.

Together Bayshore and Dell help enterprises secure industrial infrastructure against risks such as the recent WannaCry, Petya/NotPetya, and other malicious and accidental cyber threats, thus enabling the industrial internet of things (IIoT).

“To partner with Dell – one of the world’s leading technology companies – is a unique and exciting opportunity. We look forward to bringing our industrial cyber security platform to their enterprise customers,” said Mike Dager, CEO of Bayshore.

“Bayshore is excited to have Dell as a partner in the emerging Industrial Cyber Security space. Dell has a long, successful history of identifying growth markets and building effective, winning partnerships in those markets. We’re thrilled to work together,” said Kevin Senator, Bayshore’s Vice President of Worldwide Sales.

In its recent Market Guide for Operational Technology Security, Gartner stated, “Customers continue to respond to the rapid growth in IIoT by developing better security frameworks and architecture to incorporate the impact of digital transformation in utilities, energy, manufacturing, natural resources and other asset-intensive industries.”

Securing the Industrial Enterprise

The Bayshore ICP platform is designed to support customers throughout the entire industrial cyber protection life cycle, delivering a comprehensive set of capabilities required to protect and defend against sophisticated, complex attack systems. Bayshore empowers industrial enterprises with safe and efficient production, operational insights, and improved business outcomes, while blocking cyber threats to industrial plants, machinery, and people. Identifying and protecting against cyber threats is a mandatory first step before connecting factories, electric grids, and other industrial infrastructure to the Industrial Internet.

“The Bayshore Industrial Cyber Protection platform helps industrial enterprises to establish wide-ranging, best-practice protection strategies,” added Dager. “This breakthrough technology enables customers to deploy preventative, defense-in-depth security approaches that stop industrial cyber threats before they start, and to unlock the business benefits and operational efficiencies heralded by the Industrial Internet.”

Managed Remote Access and Industrial Internet Connectivity

Bayshore’s Managed Remote Access solution, which fully utilizes the Bayshore ICP platform, goes beyond traditional VPNs to create an on-demand, encrypted, policy-protected, bi-directional tunnel between remote users and industrial infrastructure. Not only is access limited to authorized users and assets, but administrators have complete control over actions taken via the link. Because the solution enforces authentication, authorization, content policy, and other security controls at the device command and individual transaction level, administrators can safely permit 3rd party vendors to monitor, manage, or troubleshoot specific pre-authorized assets, using pre-approved commands, while ensuring that an individual vendor’s access, visibility, and control is blocked elsewhere in the infrastructure.
