Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center Welcomes National Children’s Museum

The Learning Center Will Soon Call the Reagan Building its Home

Washington, DC, Dec. 20, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- TCMA (A Drew Company), the group that manages the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center (RRB/ITC) has added the National Children’s Museum to the Reagan Building’s impressive roster of tenants. The Museum is expected to open March 2019 and will occupy approximately 33,000 square feet at the Reagan Building, taking over multiple spaces including the former restaurant, Aria. The lease term will span 10 years with options.

The National Children’s Museum, represented by Petch Gibbons, President of Summit Commercial Real Estate, will be a fitting addition to a thriving and energetic hub for business; international trade; and community-centric events, anchoring the Federal Triangle property and solidifying the Building as a landmark destination. With direct access from Woodrow Wilson Plaza and a private entrance, the Museum will offer a hands-on space for families, friends, educators and other visitors, with an emphasis on teaching science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM), reinforcing and expanding national education goals for children of all ages.

“We were able to reposition multiple spaces to create this exciting opportunity for the National Children’s Museum, said Bill Jacobini, VP of Leasing for TCMA (A Drew Company). It’s a great fit and offers so many synergies with our other offerings here at the Reagan Building.”

The Reagan Building is a 3.1 million square foot, mixed-use property with nearly 250,000 square feet of office and retail space. National Children’s Museum is the newest tenant to sign on at the Reagan Building, another recent deal includes Bambini Play and Learn, leasing approximately 8,500 square feet, the child development center and Spanish Immersion Program is slated to open in January 2018. In addition to its newest tenants, the Reagan Building houses a rich mix of recognizable names such as SAP, Sandler Travis, AFLAC, Volkswagen America as well as smaller consulting firms and nonprofit organizations.
