(OTC PINK: ECEZ) ("Ecosciences" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (“MassDEP”) now allows the use of the Company’s EcoNow tablets as septic system additives in septic tanks.
In a letter, dated August 24, 2017, MassDEP wrote the Company that after reviewing the “Treatment Tablets” study document from the Massachusetts Alternative Septic System Test Center (MASSTC) dated August 2017, it had determined, in accordance with Massachusetts’ Environmental Code Regulating Septic Tanks (known as Title 5), that the use of Company’s Septic Oxy-Tabs, Waste-Eze or Trap-Eze will not harm the septic system components, including biomat, or adversely affect system function or the environment when used on the schedule recommended by the manufacturer.
The Treatment Tablets Study of August 2017 by MASSTC states in the paragraph entitled “Discussion,” “There is some indication that the Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) and Total Suspended Solids (TSS) are reduced in a superior manner over this same type of tank as indicated by comparisons made with data taken from this same tank and two other similar tanks during historic studies at the Test Center, particularly in the few weeks following the addition to the tank.”
