NEW YORK, Jan. 15, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The American Health Council is honored to name John Baker, MD as one of America’s “Best in Medicine.” Owner and head surgeon of Allegiance Orthopedic and Spine Institute, his goal is to provide compassionate orthopedic care while respecting each patient’s dignity regardless of age. They are committed to delivering the highest level of operative and non-operative treatment and care. Dr. Baker also has licensure to practice Orthopedic surgery in South Carolina (2003-Present), Florida (2003-Present), and Virginia (1999–2016). He has been in his current role for the past three years, with over twenty years of experience to the healthcare industry. In the time he has spent as a licensed medical professional, he obtained experience in spinal surgery, general orthopedics, and sports pain management.
At the start of his education, Dr. Baker was a medical student attending Tulane University’s School of Medicine. He graduated with his degree in Orthopedic Surgery with subspecialties in Chemistry and Biosciences. Following his graduation, he accepted an offer of Residency at the University of Nevada. This would lead to him completing his residency and taking on a fellowship with the Virginia Commonwealth University Health System.
Dr. Baker grew up knowing that someday he would become a doctor. It has always been an unmistakable truth, that he would enter the medical field with a natural inclination towards treating and caring for others.
What motivates Dr. Baker most in his profession is the natural sense of hard work and dedication he shows towards helping others who are in need of his care and expertise. He comes from a very humble background and has been instilled with the right characteristics that are needed to be a highly respected medical professional.
Each day, Dr. John Baker sees his patients and makes sure they are doing well in their treatments. He visits with newcomers or patients who have dealt with previous injuries. He also spends his day managing his business, ensuring that his office is running efficiently so each of his patients is given the time and attention they deserve. He takes part in performing procedures involving sports-related injuries, doing orthopedic evaluations, performing surgery, and conducting prevention techniques.
Among his many accomplishments, Dr. Baker is proud to have been a former United States Navy Doctor and Officer. He was also one of the few surgeons to have performed Mako Plasty Surgery and graduated within the Top Five of his class in Medical School.
Dr. John Baker is an active member of several organizations devoted to the betterment of the medical community. These associations include the American Medical Association, the Florida Medical Association, and the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
When he has the time, Dr. Baker also gives back to his community by performing volunteer work as an “On-Site Doctor” for his local high school during their sports games.
Within the next few years, Dr. Baker is planning to expand his practice and wants to add new doctors to his staff. In the time he has to himself, Dr. Baker enjoys watching football as he is a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. He also enjoys playing golf and spending time with his lovely fiancée, Susan, and their dog, Zoey.
