Durham Entrepreneur and Founder of Eli Global Pledges Support for Scholarships at Historically Black Colleges and Universities

DURHAM, N.C., Jan. 22, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Greg Lindberg, founder of Eli Global, an investment firm that partners with entrepreneurs to create long-term growth in their companies, will serve as a Signature Sponsor of the North Carolina Legislative Black Caucus Foundation (NCLBCF) for the next five years.

In North Carolina, students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) are experiencing disproportionate hardship by carrying $122 million of debt while representing only 7% of the total student population in the state. NCLBCF helps students attend college without going into debt by dedicating at least 75% of its revenue to providing need-based scholarships to all of the state’s HBCUs.

“I am honored that I have the opportunity to contribute to an organization that makes education more accessible for an underrepresented student population,” Lindberg said. “I look forward to helping the NC Legislative Black Caucus Foundation create opportunities for students to make an impact in the community and in the world.”

Lindberg’s support will help the Foundation carry on its mission to make college more affordable for students attending HBCUs, ease student debt, and create opportunities for students to thrive in and empower their communities.
