Mountlake Terrace, Wash., Jan. 31, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Premera Blue Cross, a leading health plan in the Pacific Northwest, today announced the launch of a new mobile app for Android and iOS devices, giving customers easy and convenient access to the health plan information they need while on the go.
“We built the Premera Mobile App following extensive testing with our customers, with the goal of providing a user experience that is simple and easy,” said Neil Lazo, director of mobile products for Premera. “The app makes it easy and convenient for our customers to carry their health care information with them so they have the information they need to make the right health care decisions for themselves and their families.”
With the Premera Mobile App customers can:
- Find care nearby, in-network doctors, hospitals and urgent care facilities.
- Follow their claim from billing to payment.
- Track their deductible for the year.
- Use the app to serve as a mobile Premera ID card, giving users the convenience of sending their card to their doctor’s office right from their mobile device.
- Interact with a chat bot*, powered by Microsoft’s Health Bot, to check when their health coverage begins. *The chat bot is currently in beta for Android devices.
