Want a Taste of Gold? HERSHEY’S Brand To Give Away Coupons for HERSHEY’S Gold Bars To Celebrate Team USA Gold Medal Wins

HERSHEY, Pa., Feb. 01, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- As Team USA marches towards the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018, The Hershey Company (NYSE:HSY), an official sponsor of the United States Olympic Committee (USOC), announced today an exciting opportunity for fans at home to get their own taste of Olympic Gold. Starting Feb. 9, whenever Team USA wins a gold medal in PyeongChang, the Hershey’s brand will give away coupons for a Hershey’s Gold bar (up to $1.50 each) to at least the first 10,000 participants responding to a Hershey’s post on Twitter/Facebook, first come, first serve, while supplies last.*

Taste the Gold
There’s nothing like the taste of sweet victory. As Team USA gold medal winners celebrate their accomplishments, the Hershey’s brand will provide fans with the opportunity to experience victory themselves with the taste of brand new Hershey’s Gold bars.

Launched in late 2017 as only the fourth flavor in the iconic history of the brand, Hershey’s Gold bars are the perfect way to celebrate the cultural moment of the Olympic Winter Games. Made with caramelized creme and featuring salty peanut and pretzel bits, the bar offers consumers a sweet, buttery taste that is topped off with a creamy and crunchy finish.

Golden Experts
Who’s better to help fans “Taste the Gold” than Detroit wide receiver Golden Tate? The professional football champion is teaming up with the Hershey’s brand to announce this promotion as someone who knows a thing or two about gold.

“I’m a big fan of Team USA and can’t wait to cheer them on as they pursue gold in PyeongChang next week,” said Tate. “It goes without saying, but I know all about ‘gold.’ It’s a huge part of who I am so I am excited for Team USA fans to get their own taste of gold while we cheer on our amazing athletes.”

Tate joins a group of champion athletes who serve as ambassadors for Hershey’s Gold bars, including Apolo Ohno, two-time Olympic Gold medalist and the most decorated American Winter Olympic athlete of all time. Ohno helped announce the launch of Hershey’s Gold bars last November.

“As an Olympic athlete, I remember how hungry I was to taste gold,” said Ohno. “I think it’s beyond cool that Hershey’s is offering fans a way to get a taste of gold.”

Golden Rules
After each Team USA gold medal win, Hershey’s will post to Twitter and Facebook a celebratory link where at least the first 10,000 fans to respond to the post may claim their Hershey’s Gold bar coupon (up to $1.50 each), first come, first serve, while supplies last. Don’t miss out and be sure to follow Hershey’s on Facebook and Twitter to help cheer on Team USA throughout the month.
