Austin, Texas, March 20, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Lone Star Brewing Co. has rolled out its “Tabs and Caps for Texas” campaign to raise funds for Texas Dance Hall Preservation Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the remaining historic dance halls across Texas and the authentic music and culture still found inside them.
“As the National Beer of Texas, it is only fitting that Lone Star would proudly participate in preserving these important Texas landmarks,” said Elkin Vasco, Brand Manager of Lone Star Brewing Co. “Our goal is to raise public awareness about historic old halls, many of which have already been lost and many more are still at risk. Through this campaign, we can all come together and contribute to saving a part of this great state’s heritage.”
From now until April 30, ‘Tabs and Caps for Texas’ acrylic cowboy boots will be located at historic dance halls and bars across Texas. Customers who purchase Lone Star Beer are encouraged to deposit their beer tabs or caps in the acrylic cowboy boots at participating locations. Lone Star will donate $1 (up to $30,000) to Texas Dance Hall Preservation Inc. for each tab or cap placed in the boots.

Participating Texas markets include: Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio. Proceeds from ‘Tabs and Caps for Texas’ will directly benefit the remaining historic Texas dance halls by servicing programs and grants to provide needed upgrades and repairs.
