The new tools are practical resources designed to assist merchants and issuers in gathering sufficient information and enabling consistent communications with processing partners.

“Many merchants and issuers today are continuing to fine-tune their implementations of chip. The forms:
- Can be used to identify data needed for troubleshooting and to communicate the data among payment processing partners
- Are provided as Microsoft Word documents to allow stakeholders to use and edit the forms to best meet their needs
