Washington, D.C., April 09, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Education experts from the American Institutes for Research (AIR) will present at the 2018 Annual Meeting of the American Educational Research Association (AERA) being held April 13-18 in New York City.
AERA is the nation’s largest professional organization devoted to the scientific study of education and its annual meeting is the largest gathering of scholars in the field of education research. Attendees will hear about research, evaluation and data across a wide array of topics, from early childhood to postsecondary education.
AIR is a platinum sponsor of the 2018 Annual Meeting, the theme of which is “The Dreams Possibilities, and Necessity of Public Education.” AIR experts will present and participate in about 70 sessions at the conference.
In addition, AIR will host a reception for AERA attendees on Friday, April 13, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. EDT, at Brasserie 8½, located at 9 West 57th St., in New York City. The reception, hosted by AIR Senior Vice President Jack Buckley, is an opportunity to connect with others in the education research field and meet AIR researchers, staff and leadership. National Council on Measurement in Education Annual Meeting
The National Council on Measurement in Education (NCME) will also hold its 2018 Annual Meeting in New York City April 12-16. NCME, a professional organization for individuals involved in assessment, evaluation, testing, and other aspects of educational measurement, generally holds its annual meeting at the same time and location as AERA.
