This annual government security-focused event has been expanded to two days for 2018. Selected speakers will present use cases and educational presentations that focus on current federal government-led cybersecurity policies and future strong authentication and identity management services for enhanced security for physical and network (logical) access or trusted identities. The event’s keynotes, roundtables, and panels will cover the most important topics impacting federal identity initiatives today, including:
- Derived credentials for mobile identity systems and authentication
- Mobile and cloud identity programs
- Digital identity proofing and authentication
- Cybersecurity and identity frameworks
- Continuous diagnostics and mitigation
- Advanced biometrics for access security
- Federal Personal Identity Verification (PIV) use cases for access control
The Secure Technology Alliance also announced that government employees are eligible for a limited number of complimentary conference passes, and non-government attendees can receive discounted advanced registration rates. Early-bird discounts are available through April 27, and final discounts end on May 18. Secure Technology Alliance member organizations receive complimentary or discounted registration pricing. The conference is open to all individuals and organizations who wish to learn about the role of secure identity and authentication in government programs.

The first day of the recently expanded event will feature new and revised federal cybersecurity policy initiatives and technology standards. Attendees will learn about security roadmap updates, progress for cloud and mobility initiatives, and the latest updates from GSA and NIST on policy and standards initiatives.
Day two will focus on current federal identity credentialing and access management progress and status for federal programs, the progress in multi-factor authentication and authorization activities, and lessons learned in the expanded use of PIV and PIV-I cards and physical and logical mobile credentials.
There will also be extended lunch breaks and an evening reception to allow attendees to visit the vendor showcase and learn more about innovative security products and services enabling the use of secure federal identities to access federal facilities and network systems today and in the future.
