Patriot Award Presented to Concurrent Technologies Corporation CEO

Ed Sheehan Recognized by the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve

Johnstown, PA, April 24, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Edward J. Sheehan, Jr., Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) President and Chief Executive Officer, is the most recent person from CTC to receive the Patriot Award from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR).

CTC employee Kevin Hillegas nominated Sheehan for the award, which reflects the support provided by a supervisor to employees serving in the National Guard or Reserve. Hillegas is an electrical engineer at CTC and serves several roles in the Army National Guard.

Previous CTC supervisors to receive the Patriot Award include Gregory Skowron, Cristina Tomlinson, and Gino Spinos.

“We owe a tremendous amount of gratitude to our men and women in uniform,” said Sheehan. “Supporting our employees who serve in the Guard and Reserve is an honor; we are humbled by this recognition.”

Besides the Patriot Awards mentioned above, the company has received many ESGR awards through the years, including the Soaring Eagle, Extraordinary Employer Support, Above and Beyond, Liberty Bell, Pro-Patria, and the Seven Seals awards.

The ESGR is a Department of Defense program that promotes cooperation and understanding between Reserve Component Service members and their civilian employers and assists in the resolution of conflicts arising from an employee’s military commitment.

CTC has a long history of supporting veterans and those in active military service. The company has been recognized as a Military Times Best for Vets Employer seven consecutive times and is a member of the Veteran Jobs Mission (formerly the 100,000 Jobs Mission), a coalition of more than 230 companies committed to hiring one million veterans for private-sector jobs.
