PARSIPPANY, N.J., April 24, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Bill Killeen, CEO of Acrow Bridge, a leading international bridge engineering and supply company, took part in EXIM Bank’s Annual Conference in Washington, DC on April 19-20, 2018. The event attracted about 1,000 participants from around the world and featured keynote remarks, plenary sessions and breakout sessions on economic and trade issues.
Killeen took part in a panel on “Global Competitiveness and the ECA Landscape,” which addressed the challenges and opportunities for American businesses in the global economy and EXIM’s role as an export credit agency. The panel was moderated by Douglas Holtz-Eakin, President of the American Action Forum. Killeen’s co-panelists were Jason Cooper, President and Chief Executive Officer, Linde Engineering North America; David W. Thompson, President and Chief Executive Officer, Orbital ATK; and Ernie Thrasher, Chief Executive Officer, Xcoal Energy and Resources.
“Access to financing and credit guarantees made available through EXIM Bank has been and continues to be a key element in supporting exports, opening markets and creating U.S. jobs,” said Killeen. “Acrow Bridge is proud of its longstanding partnership with EXIM Bank in supporting infrastructure development throughout the world, from the delivery and installation of the Acrow bridges to local skills capacity-building in the assembly and installation of these critical infrastructure assets.”
EXIM Bank is an independent and self-sustaining U.S. federal agency that supports and creates U.S. jobs by filling gaps in private export financing at no cost to American taxpayers. The bank provides a variety of financing mechanisms – including loan guarantees, working capital guarantees, direct loans, and export credit insurance, among other products – to promote the sale of U.S. goods and services abroad. EXIM also contributes to U.S. economic growth and the support of more than a million jobs through the support of thousands of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) around the country. Since 2000, EXIM Bank has provided $14.6 billion to the U.S. Treasury after paying for all of its administrative and program expenses.
