BETHLEHEM, Pa., May 16, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- B. Braun Medical Inc. will display its portfolio of infusion pump products and integrated technologies, designed to help improve patient safety and outcomes, at the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) National Teaching Institute & Critical Care Exposition, May 22-24, at the Boston Convention Center.
B. Braun’s integrated IV infusion pump portfolio includes the Infusomat® Space Infusion System, the Outlook® Infusion pump and real-time infusion insight through its DoseTrac® Infusion Management Software. B. Braun also will introduce its 2nd Generation, Perfusor® Space Syringe Pump with integrated wireless communication capabilities, which is pending 510(k) clearance.
At booth #2935, visitors can see the AutoProgramming, AutoDocumentation, AutoNotification, and discuss AutoLocation benefits associated with AutoCOMPLETE™ Integrated EMR — the highest level of integration on B. Braun’s Synchronized Intelligence Infusion Platform.
“AutoCOMPLETE is not only designed to help clinicians reduce manual data entry errors and save time by increasing documentation accuracy, but also to facilitate improved reporting to help reduce alarm fatigue,” said Tom Sutton, Vice President, Medical Device and Pharmaceutical Systems at B. Braun Medical. Alarm fatigue is a concern for healthcare providers as more devices are implemented in the healthcare environment.
“B. Braun’s Synchronized Intelligence platform integrates real-time data, pumps, and system-wide reporting capabilities. When combined with education and institutional leadership, our design can help clinicians achieve up to 100 percent drug library compliance, a reduction in infusion-related medication errors, and a decrease in unnecessary alarms and alerts," Sutton said.
Additionally, three presentations will be presented at B. Braun’s booth:
