Hemp, Inc.'s Strategic Hemp Growing Partner, “Veteran Village Kins Community Arizona, Inc.”, Completes Solar Energy System Installation as Arizona Legalizes Industrial Hemp

SPRING HOPE, NC, May 17, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --  Hemp, Inc.(OTC PINK: HEMP) announced today that one of its strategic growing partners, Veteran Village Kins Community Arizona, Inc., has completed installation of the solar and wind-powered energy system for its 500-acre Veteran Village Kins Community in Golden Valley, Arizona.  The Veteran Village Kins Community is designed to grow hemp and produce cannabidiol (CBD) products to benefit veterans as well as generate revenue for Hemp, Inc., the Veteran Village, and individual veterans living in the community.

Bruce Perlowin, CEO of Hemp, Inc. (OTC PINK: HEMP) said, “This has been an arduous journey for everyone involved, but it has been well worth it. This solar and wind-powered energy system will even allow for high-definition cameras to capture the remaining development of the Kins Community, in real time with live streaming video.  Every methodical step we have taken has put us closer to opening our doors to the country’s first Veteran Village Kins Community, just north of Kingman, Arizona (and only 90 minutes from Las Vegas).”

Perlowin continued, “The timing couldn’t be more perfect since Arizona has taken legislative action to embrace hemp as a viable, new, agricultural product for the state. The ability to grow hemp in Arizona is going to provide an incredible income stream for those who might not otherwise have access to this rapidly emerging multi-billion dollar industry.”

Completion of the solar and wind-powered energy system follows recent news of Arizona Governor Doug Ducey’s signing of senate bill (SB) 1098 “providing funding for the Arizona Department of Agriculture’s (AZDA) agricultural pilot program allowing universities and those with a license from AZDA to begin cultivating industrial hemp”. SB 1098 states hemp grown in Arizona cannot contain more than .3 percent THC, which is the psychoactive element of marijuana.  The measure, according to Gov. Ducey, “could have a positive economic impact for the state as “this bill opens Arizona to the possibility of a new agricultural product.”

As a global leader in the industrial hemp industry, with the largest multipurpose industrial hemp processing facility in the western hemisphere, Hemp, Inc.’s Veteran Village Kins Community in Arizona looks very promising. In fact, 300 acres of the site are now being prepped to grow hemp sometime next year, says Dwight Jory, Project Manager of Veteran Village Kins Community Arizona, Inc.

The Veteran Village Kins Community in Arizona features a holistic healing and learning center to support veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), opioid addiction, alcoholism, meth addiction and other conditions. Each 2.5-acre lot (a Kins Domain) is designed to be self-sustainable, with 1 acre allocated to grow hemp as well as other areas for an organic garden, natural beehives, a living fence, a pond, a family tree and other elements that would make up a “Kins Domain.”

What started more than 5 years ago, the Veteran Village Kins Community in Arizona is designed to not only grow hemp but to also produce cannabidiol (CBD) products.  Already a $100 million industry, the CBD market is expected to grow over 700% and balloon to $2.1 billion by 2020.

As more states continue to adopt pro hemp legislation, more companies are entering the industrial hemp and CBD industry and looking to expand their footprint in the marketplace, thus aligning with Hemp, Inc. for its proven expertise and state-of-the-art hemp processing and manufacturing infrastructure in Spring Hope, North Carolina. Hemp, Inc.’s 85,000 square foot multi-purpose industrial hemp processing facility has been operational since August 2017.

The first company to align with Hemp, Inc. was HQ Global Education, Inc. (OTC: HQGE), a scientific research development company.  Hemp, Inc. will provide consulting services in an effort to help HQ Global Education, Inc. expand into the hemp CBD industry through its consultant agreement.

Hemp, Inc. also announced, recently, that it is encouraging large-scale companies to secure their hemp biomass now. There is an increasing demand to use high CBD hemp biomass for the production of CBD distillate and CBD isolate. CBD hemp is a very attractive source of Biomass, especially when good yields can be produced in very large commercial quantities. Hemp, Inc. will be growing up to 25,600 acres of industrial hemp, (40 square miles) to be sold as hemp biomass. According to Perlowin, that amount won’t come close to fulfilling the market demand based on what Hemp, Inc. has already received so far in requests for biomass.  (Be sure to get your hemp biomass now before Hemp, Inc.’s supply runs out.)

Veteran Village Kins Community Arizona, Inc. contracted Golden Bridge Development Corp to install the site’s energy system. The company designed the renewable solar and wind-powered energy system to accommodate the electrical needs of the Holistic Healing and Learning Center section of the Veteran Village Kins Community. This 11-acre section, of the Veteran Village Kins Community, includes 6 Geodesic domes totaling over 6,000 square feet. One of the Geodesic domes will be a cafeteria with an attached kitchen and there will be bathroom facilities throughout.  RV parking also serves as temporary housing for Veterans and visitors.

The electrical system is an off-grid 480-volt 3-phase renewable energy system powered initially by 12 kilowatts of Solar Photovoltaic panels on top of an RV carport shade structure.  There are currently 33-kilowatt hours of battery storage utilizing the latest Lithium Iron Phosphate technology with a lifetime of 15 to 20 years. The Solar Photovoltaic system can be expanded up to 30 kilowatts and the batteries to 100-kilowatt hours or more using the current battery and solar integrated inverter.  Executives expect the system to initially electrify 6 domes with 40 to 60 amps of 240-volt power and up to 22 RV parking spots with 30 to 50 amps each, continuous.

A natural gas/propane backup generator will be added with automatic start electronics to supplement any shortfall in power that may be encountered during rainy days or heavy use. Wind generators will also be installed to supplement the solar power with day and night generation.

“Our ‘Veteran Village Kins Communities’ is where we will not only grow some of our hemp, but it’s a full-blown holistic solution to the multifaceted veteran problems in the USA. Our prototype model is in Arizona about 20 miles north of Kingman and 90 miles from Las Vegas, NV. It's our way of saying, ‘Thank You’ to our Veterans,” said Perlowin.

Hemp, Inc. has announced that its strategic growing partner, "Veteran Village Kins Community Arizona, Inc.," has completed its final site plan blueprints for its 500-acre site in Golden Valley, Arizona (20 miles north of Kingman, AZ and 90 minutes from Las Vegas, NV). The site plan was submitted to the Mohave County Building Department for final review. The Company is also in the final stages of completing the necessary infrastructure to support an off-grid, renewable, energy system. With the solar equipment in place, the site’s solar power operation is now complete.

Dwight Jory, the Project Manager for the "Veteran Village Kins Community Arizona, Inc.," said, "We are very happy with the progress. Our Kins Community is really beginning to come together." In anticipation of planting to begin during the spring, 300 acres have been fenced, 16 overnight trailer park sites are under construction, and six 40x40-ft organic vegetable gardens are ready for seasonal planting, according to Jory. As for the 6 geodesic domes mentioned in an earlier press release, 1 is structurally complete with only the electrical and plumbing to be completed. The rest are on site awaiting final site plan approval. "We are now accepting volunteers who have expressed an interest in helping to build the first Kins Community for our veterans," said Jory. Those interested in making the first hemp growing CBD-producing "Veteran Village Kins Community" become a reality should contact Ms. Sandra Williams via email (swilliams@hempinc.com).

One thousand trees, on 36 of the 500-acres, have also been planted, with an additional 1,000 trees on order. The "Veteran Village Kins Community" site plan also includes a 100,000-square foot GMP compliant, central processing plant, CBD testing laboratory, and various health and wellness centers to support veterans who may have psychological, emotional or health issues.

"As Hemp, Inc. positions itself on the forefront of America's industrial hemp revolution, we see our partnership with 'Veteran Village Kins Community Arizona, Inc.' being paramount in supporting the small family farm movement that we are confident will reshape the American landscape," said Perlowin. "As we work toward getting our eco-village up and running in Arizona, we are also aggressively scouting strategic locations in other states including North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee and West Virginia. Giving veterans and other Americans a place to learn new skills and take part in this multi-billion-dollar hemp CBD market is very exciting. It's a big part of our mission to give back."

According to Perlowin, seven "master hemp growers" from Oregon, Colorado, California, Kentucky, North Carolina, Nevada and, of course, Arizona have expressed an interest in pursuing a joint venture with Hemp, Inc. to each grow industrial hemp on the 300 fenced acres in Arizona. Perlowin says he'll call this "The Great United American Hemp Project."
