CHARLOTTE, N.C., May 21, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Chanticleer Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:BURG) (“Chanticleer” or the “Company”), owner, operator, and franchisor of multiple nationally recognized better burger restaurant brands, including Little Big Burger (“LBB”), Burgers Grilled Right (“BGR”) and American Burger Company, today announced its plans in celebration of National Hamburger month.
On May 9, Little Big Burger celebrated Nurses week by offering all Nurses who dedicate their lives to the health and well-being of others, a free burger. On May 17, the Company’s recently opened second Southern California Little Big Burger Mission Valley location welcomed patrons to join them for free burger day, resulting in 500 complimentary burgers being provided before 6:00 pm. Smiles were put on faces from both near and far as customers got to experience firsthand the quality of LBB’s quarter pound patty burgers, truffle fries and its own trademarked Camden’s Catsup and Fry sauce.
Currently the Company has 14 LBB stores and expects to add an additional six to ten new locations throughout the balance of the year. Eight stores are currently under construction and anticipated to begin contributing to revenue in the third and fourth quarter.
Most recently the Company announced a partnership with NASCAR superstar, driver of the Toyota Fed Ex #11 Denny Hamlin, for his first LBB in Cornelius N.C., with the option to open nine additional locations.
The Company’s BGR brand is pleased to announce that May marks the brands ten-year anniversary as it was founded in Bethesda, MD in 2008. As part of the milestone, the Company will be running select local promotions in appreciation of strong community support and a very loyal consumer base. BGR previously has won numerous awards including being voted "Best Burger in Washington, DC" by the editorial staff at MSN.com's Business Insider.
Currently the BGR brand has 22 locations. Ten locations are company owned, ten US franchises, and two international franchise locations. The Company’s recently opened Catholic University continues to exceed expectations, and there are currently two locations under construction with two recently reimaged.
The Company’s American Burger Company currently has seven locations. A well established a 15-year-old chain known for its diverse menu featuring fresh salads; customized burgers made from fresh beef, turkey or veggies; milk shakes; and a large selection of various sandwiches, beers and wine, its in-restaurant dining is fast and convenient and the existing restaurant locations are strategically located in high traffic areas. Each restaurant features a nostalgic "made in America" theme. The first American Burger Co location opened in 2006 in Smithtown, N.Y. Currently there are seven locations.
ABC recently gave back to the local community supporting the Carolina Panther’s Greg Olson & Thomas Davis foundations by sponsoring their Golf Tournaments. On May 23, Chanticleer’s own CEO Michael Pruitt, along with the rest of the ABC leadership team, will roll up their sleeves cooking 200 meals for the Men’s Shelter of Charlotte as part of its Renovation Meal Brigade.
Current total Company restaurant count consists of 56 locations both in the US and abroad. The Company expects overall store count to grow at least 20% in 2018 primarily led by franchising and joint ventures of the LBB and BGR brands.
Mike Pruitt, Chanticleer Chief Executive Officer stated, “We continue to be pleased at the continuing progress of all of our better burger category brands, as well as celebrating certain operational milestones in the month of May, National Hamburger month. Considering the success of our brands is often tied to the invaluable support of the local communities we operate in, we feel it equally important to pay it forward, giving back to those who have supported us. It’s for that reason all of our brands, including our dedicated employees working for them, are excited to be participating in the aforementioned events.”
Pruitt continued, “We continue to gain scale promoting growth by leveraging both the attractive economics of our brands as well as a mutually beneficial franchising and JV model. In addition, two of this year’s stores are 100% corporate owned. We believe that our model itself is complemented by a focus on the continual building of local goodwill for our brands. With recent heightened interest in others in the space with similar growth trajectories, we believe we are positioned well for the future.”
