Chicago, June 26, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Green Thumb Industries (GTI) (CSE: GTII), a national cannabis cultivator, dispensary operator and consumer packaged goods company that produces and distributes a portfolio of cannabis branded products, welcomes Glen T. Senk to its Board of Directors. Senk is a creative leader who has worked with several of the world’s most iconic brands, including Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, Free People, David Yurman, Williams-Sonoma and Pottery Barn.
“An important aspect of GTI’s growth will involve building brands and amplifying our RISE retail presence and experience in a way that continues to authentically engage our customers – and there’s nobody better to help us do that than Glen,” said GTI Chief Executive Officer Pete Kadens. “GTI currently operates 13 cannabis dispensaries and is on its way to a 50-store retail chain while also manufacturing and distributing branded products throughout the states in which we operate. With Glen’s creative vision, business acumen and decades of branding and retail experience, he’s the perfect fit for GTI as we strengthen the board as a newly listed public company on the Canadian Securities Exchange.”
“GTI is an outlier—they’re one of the most trusted cannabis companies in North America, yet they’ve just begun their journey,” Senk commented. “In my mind, GTI’s exceptional performance is the result of an intense commitment to the customer and community combined with systematic and disciplined data-driven decision making. I am honored to join GTI’s Board of Directors and support this winning team as we embark on additional milestones as a recently listed public company."
