CINCINNATI, June 29, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Lisa Prytula, MA, RN-BC, formerly the Director of Standards Interpretation at the Joint Commission (TJC) has joined Compass Clinical Consulting’s leadership as Associate Managing Director.
Ms. Prytula brings to Compass expert knowledge in the accreditation standards and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Conditions of Participation (CoPs). With this expertise, along with hospital leadership experience, project management skills, and a customer service focus, Lisa is positioned to provide both clinical and operational leadership and support to clients across all of Compass’s service lines.
Lisa has more than 20 years of experience specializing in healthcare quality, accreditation and regulatory compliance, and performance improvement. Through a career dedicated to professional development and education, evidence-based practice and research, and nursing leadership, she embodies a commitment to helping healthcare organizations improve quality and patient safety.
In her time with TJC and the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), Lisa worked with nearly 200 organizations to assess compliance with accreditation standards and the CMS CoPs, providing expertise across a range of healthcare settings including large university medical centers, specialty hospitals, long-term acute care hospitals, community hospitals, critical access hospitals, and ambulatory healthcare settings.
Previously, Lisa held positions in nursing leadership and professional development in hospital medical-surgical and oncology departments, where she led interdisciplinary performance improvement initiatives and conducted pain management and transcultural nursing research.
Lisa earned graduate and undergraduate degrees in nursing from Augsburg University in Minneapolis, MN. She is a Registered Nurse, Board Certified by the American Nurse Credentialing Center, and a TJC Robust Process Improvement Yellow Belt. She has presented at numerous conferences and workshops on topics in support of patient safety, quality of care, and high reliability, including continuous survey readiness, standards compliance, pain management, and transcultural nursing care.
