KIRKLAND, Wash., July 18, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- GrowLife, Inc. (OTCQB:PHOT), one of the nation’s most recognized indoor cultivation product and service providers, today announced preliminary test results from a Proof-of-Concept (POC) study in Colorado with a licensed customer on its proprietary vertical grow room system. The study has proven that the system can house four times as many plants as compared to traditional grow rooms with the same square footage. The system, which operates in only 64 square feet, is currently being tested with 70 full-size plants utilizing cubic volume versus horizontal square footing, which would traditionally only allow for the growing of up to 15-17 plants.
“Achieving this level of production capacity in such a small space is unprecedented for our industry and is just the first of many metrics we are planning to quantify in this POC on our vertical grow room concept,” said GrowLife CEO Marco Hegyi. “As we have always said, our goal is to help our customers achieve lower production costs and higher capacity. This system could be the answer to the industry’s current over-supply issue, which has led to a decrease in prices of our customer’s final product. Through this POC, we will be able to quantify every aspect of savings and efficiency achieved with the system and potentially change the way indoor plant cultivation is achieved.”
The indoor cannabis growing facility leverages state-of-the-art technology and design to maximize the amount of plants that can be grown to harvest in a cubic space versus traditional square footage at the highest level of quality. The system utilizes technologies that are designed to decrease production costs and produce consistent and scalable results.
The indoor cannabis growing facility was developed by a team of engineers alongside cannabis industry experts such as master growers and operators. It contains several patent-pending features including Growlife’s FreeFit flooring product and wall tile for heat transfer, which reduces utility costs incurred from climate controlling the space. Unique to GrowLife's strategy is the ongoing development of proprietary grow room control system software designed to collect data and make real-time system corrections to optimize plant health.
In recent months, the company has committed resources to expanding on its product offering through its product development subsidiary GrowLife Innovations. Emerging technologies will play a critical role in the evolution of the indoor plant cultivation industry, which is why GrowLife is committed to creating systems and products that allow customers to remain efficient in their production techniques while producing competitively priced products.
