VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Sept. 05, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Penny Green, dubbed “the Serial Entrepreneur“ by TEDxVancouver, will take the stage on September 8 to share her insight on the emerging legal cannabis industry. Penny’s talk is entitled: How Cannabis Can Make You Healthier, Richer and Sexier.
“I selected this topic because I believe that we are at the brink of the business opportunity of a lifetime. Cannabis will soon be fully legal here in Canada and it is going to change multiple industries profoundly. We’ve seen the cannabis stock market boom- but I think that this is only the beginning,” said Penny Green, CEO of the Yield Growth Corp.
“This is an entire disruptive industry in its infancy - I liken many of these early cannabis companies to Amazon or Google. Game changers that will alter the way we do things forever. And not to mention - the early investors made a fortune,” added Green.
Heading into its 9th year, TEDxVancouver has hosted over 11,500 participants at their past events, and have over 40 million YouTube views of the Talks TEDxVancouver they have released to date.
“Ms. Green is the perfect complement to what is already the strongest line-up of Speakers that we have ever presented at any single TEDxVancouver,” said Wesley Ollson, President/Licensee TEDxVancouver. “The TED motto is ‘Ideas Worth Spreading’ and the timeliness of a discussion on the emerging cannabis industry, both from an industry disruption and a financial investment standpoint, is ideal for this year’s event.”
