The Stevie Awards for Great Employers recognize the world’s best employers and the human resources professionals, teams, achievements and HR-related products and suppliers who help to create and drive great places to work.
Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word meaning “crowned,” the awards were presented to winners at a gala ceremony at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on Friday, September 21.
More than 550 nominations from organizations in 21 nations were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of HR-related categories, including Achievement in Workplace Safety & Compliance, Employer of the Year, Chief Human Resources Officer of the Year, Human Resources Team of the Year, Employee Relations Solution Provider of the Year among others. Enquiron was nominated in the Business Services category.
Enquiron’s focus over the past year has been on maintaining the importance of work-life balance, while simultaneously elevating team connectivity and inclusion. 61% of Enquiron’s workforce is remote in home offices across 11 different states. Every year we have a summer retreat to brainstorm strategic initiatives, where the focus of past years’ retreats were to update everyone on what each team was working on. Our focus this year, however, was on our people and entailed “Getting to Know You” games, a Letter to Your Past Self, and exercises around active listening and a discussion of our internal communication. This reflective and conversational format helped team members of all levels and locations strengthen their connections with each other. This year, we rolled out a “Diversity Paid Time Off” day for employees to take time for events that celebrate or observe what makes them diverse. We are also partnering with the Blind Institute of Technology and a local community development corporation’s candidate referral network to be introduced to a more diverse group of candidates.
