MADISON, Wis., Oct. 04, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Widen, a provider of digital asset management (DAM) software, will host the 8th annual Widen Summit from October 8 to 10 in Madison. More than 180 creative, marketing and technology professionals and 100 Widen employees will gather at Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center. This year’s theme, “Create the moment,” explores how brands can better harness marketing technology to produce memorable experiences.
The annual Widen Summit unites a community of Widen customer administrators, marketing leaders, technologists, librarians, and creatives who lead the world’s most respected brands. They share experiences, tactics, and strategies that strengthen businesses and create strong connections with customers.
The 2018 Summit features six keynotes speakers:
- Deanna Ballew, VP of Product Development at Widen
- Kerry Bodine, founder and CEO of Kerry Bodine & Co., a customer experience consultancy
- Matthew Gonnering, CEO of Widen
- Scott Sharp, Creative Operations Advisor at WestJet Airlines
- Nina Brakel-Schutt, Brand Strategist at Widen and Jake Athey, VP of Marketing at Widen
The Summit agenda includes hands-on sessions with 11 customer speakers and 23 Widen employees. Attendees can choose from three tracks – Foundations, Expansions, and Evolutions – which offer ideas for today, tomorrow, and the future, respectively.
For new customers, Widen offers Assets Essentials, a pre-Summit training course on October 6 and 7. The in-depth curriculum covers admin and super user topics such as metadata development, security, governance, content migration, and analytics.
Once again, the Summit offers plenty of Wisconsin’s world-famous cheeses and beers – and some awesome excursions. Attendees can join in for a tour of Camp Randall Stadium (home of the UW Badgers), an escape room challenge, a group run (or walk), a hypnotist show, and more.
This year, four customers will face off in the Best DAM Contest in which competitors pitch their DAM successes and answer questions from the audience. Attendees can vote on a winner, and the judging panel will crown a champion at Tuesday night’s dinner.
“At the Widen Summit, we explore the common challenges that make the work of marketing interesting, adventurous, and rewarding,” said Melanie Olsen, Widen Community Relations Manager. “To do this in a supportive, empathetic community is such a treat. If DAM is at the center of your work and the moments you create for customers, you’ll feel right at home.”
