BRIGHTON, Mich., Oct. 08, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- CGE Energy, Inc. (OTCPink:CGEI), the leading engineer of no capital cost energy solutions, announces the appointment of Mark A. Cecil to the role of Chief Operating Officer. With extensive leadership and management experience spanning nearly three decades, Cecil brings valuable leadership to CGE’s executive team during a period of rapid growth. As CGE’s COO, Cecil will direct operations, develop strategic plans and execute corporate initiatives.
Cecil’s appointment to this position is timely, as CGE is undergoing a certified audit of their fiscal year ending September 30, 2018. This lays the groundwork for taking in growth capital and exchange up-list.
Prior to joining CGE, Cecil was responsible for strategic planning, performance reporting and field technology for Washington National Insurance Company, a subsidiary of CNO Financial Group. Previously, Cecil has also served as a CPA at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and Director of Internal Audit for Janus Capital Group.
"It’s a pleasure joining the CGE team. I look forward to furthering the company’s success and improving what’s already an outstanding, high-performing energy company,” said Cecil, “I am incredibly energized to help lead the company into its next phase of innovation tied with operational excellence.”
In addition to his experience at Washington National, Janus and PWC, Cecil served 20 years in the United States Navy and Navy Reserve before retiring from service in 2005 with the rank of Commander. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Missouri State University and earned both a M.B.A. degree and an M.S. in Accounting from the University of Missouri – Kansas City.
“We are thrilled to have a steady hand at the operational helm as we continue to broaden our customer base. Mark is a seasoned and trusted leader who is uniquely qualified to drive strategic prioritization and accountability within CGE Energy," says CGE Energy President/CEO Bryan Zaplitny, “I have tremendous confidence in Mark’s ability to align CGE’s vision with industry-leading operational practices.”
Cecil has shown a proven ability to deliver results and will bring his strategic planning, risk management, accounting, financial analysis, and auditing acumen to help drive sustainable growth at CGE Energy, Inc.
