(VAYA™), a division of Frutarom, Inc., and leader in developing specialty nutrition and medical food products, announced today the presentation of new data from its Vayarin® Plus clinical study of adults with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Stephen Faraone, Ph.D. distinguished professor of psychiatry and of neuroscience and physiology at SUNY Upstate Medical University, will present the clinical study findings at the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) annual meeting on October 25 at 1:30 p.m. in Seattle, Washington. During the presentation, Prof. Faraone will discuss the advanced Sequential Parallel Comparison Design (SPCD) study design that was used in the trial to minimize placebo effect. Prof. Faraone is a member of the VAYA advisory board and a clinical advisor of the clinical study.

Vayarin® Plus Clinical Study
The data comes from a multi-centered, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial of 189 adults with ADHD. The clinical trial studied the effect of Vayarin® Plus, phosphatidylserine attached to omega-3 enriched with eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), on the management of ADHD in adults. The study results showed the potential of Vayarin® Plus to effectively and safely improve ADHD behaviors in adults.
