20-Year Entertainment and Localization Industry Veteran Jacques Barreau Joins Technology Division of TransPerfect
NEW YORK, Oct. 16, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Translations.com, the technology division of TransPerfect, the world’s leading provider of language and technology solutions for global business, today announced the hiring of Jacques Barreau as Vice President of Media and Interactive Entertainment.
Barreau has over 20 years of experience spearheading localization for theatrical features, episodic content, and interactive games in more than 40 languages for Warner Bros. and clients such as Lucasfilm and Turner Broadcasting Networks. Barreau was responsible for implementing new creative and production structures at Warner Bros. with the goal of improving the studio’s quality standards and streamlining localization processes to reduce turnaround times for day and date worldwide releases—including major Hollywood blockbusters such as the Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter franchises.
In his role at Translations.com, Barreau will be involved in all aspects of localization and be instrumental in the development and rollout of the company’s GlobalLink Virtual Studio and Media.Next suite of AI-powered media localization solutions.
