Company switches from plug-and-play device to MiX for its oilfield experience, solid ELD features
BOCA RATON, Fla., Oct. 17, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MiX Telematics (NYSE: MIXT), a leading global provider of fleet and mobile asset management solutions, announced that a large, diversified oilfield service company is implementing its premium fleet management solution across its entire fleet of 750 vehicles. The company upgraded from a plug-and-play AOBRD system in order to take advantage of MiX Fleet Manager’s advanced ELD features, such as driver safety monitoring, and to ensure it was utilizing the correct industry Hours of Service rule sets and exemptions.
Safety is a top priority for the company, which quickly realized that its entry-level system did not go far enough in terms of helping them monitor and coach drivers for safer driving behavior.
The MiX solution provides the company with compliance, safety and efficiency features all-in-one.
According to the customer, MiX’s services and support really set it apart from other telematics companies. MiX offers a comprehensive range of services, which go beyond the technology, to ensure clients maximize their return on investment.
“This client places high emphasis on safety and quality, and our solution can help in both areas, plus compliance,” said Charles Tasker, Group Chief Operating Officer at MiX Telematics. “We're looking forward to working closely with them to ensure they get maximum benefit out of their telematics investments.”
