This transformer comes with a 14.7 KVA rating, primary voltage of 240 AC using a maximum of 6.2 amps and a secondary voltage of 208 AC using up to 70.8 amps.
The MT-BBT-240V-208V-70.8A is a durable step-down transformer with a core made from non-aging, cold-rolled silicon steel laminations, which is coated to prevent moisture accumulation. The winding in this unit is made of high-quality magnetic copper for improved performance and has been electrically balanced which minimizes any axial force during short circuiting if such a situation occurs. However, this unit has close tolerances that eliminate burs, and is encapsulated in silica and resin with a NEMA 3R-painted steel enclosure, both features that help improve performance and the life of the electrical equipment.
The single-phase transformer is highly energy efficient with low heat emissions. The unit can be mounted on the wall or floor and features a 180°C insulation with a 115°C temperature rise.
