The arrival of Kummert, Wakeam, and Guagenti comes during a period of rapid growth for MemSQL. Customers in fintech, media, retail, and energy are switching from legacy databases to the world’s fastest database, which combines transactional and analytical processing into one converged system for greater scalability, flexibility, simplicity, and cost efficiency.

In May 2018, MemSQL raised $30 million during its Series D funding round, bringing its total funding to $110 million.

“The additions of Ted, Jason, and Peter are critical to the growth we’re expecting at MemSQL,” said Nikita Shamgunov, CEO and co-founder of MemSQL. “The data services landscape is moving fast. With the expectation of real-time decision making and the rise of AI and machine learning, customers are demanding more from their data than their current infrastructure can provide. It’s clear that customers are looking for change and these talented individuals will strengthen MemSQL’s ability to solve our customers’ challenges.”

“I’m excited to join MemSQL at a time when we are investing to aggressively grow our channel,” said Jason Wakeam, vice president of business development and alliances at MemSQL. “We are creating new opportunities for partners to specialize and provide managed services. And we are building new elements into our partner program to make it easier for partners to engage with us, sell, and deliver MemSQL-based solutions.”
