CHARLOTTE, N.C., Nov. 27, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MapAnything, the leader in Location-of-Things (LoT) solutions, today announced that veteran sales leader Marc Silberstrom has joined as Chief Revenue Officer. In this global role, Marc will oversee all aspects of sales and is chartered to support and accelerate the company’s revenue growth.
Marc comes to MapAnything with more than 20 years of experience in enterprise sales. Prior to MapAnything, Marc was vice president of worldwide sales at Clari. During his tenure at Clari, Marc was responsible for 300% year over year growth in his final year with the organization. Prior to Clari, Marc was the vice president of sales at Sprinklr where he helped grow the company to a multibillion-dollar valuation.
“Marc has a proven track record of accelerating sales for some of the most successful SaaS companies,” said John Stewart, CEO and co-founder of MapAnything. “We’re helping enterprises solve the critical questions to unlock breakthrough growth, and Marc’s experience will help scale our business to bring the benefits of location to more enterprise customers worldwide.”
The Location-of-Things market is massive and growing. Markets and Markets predicts that it will reach $27B by 20221, driven by the shifting demands of customers in the on-demand economy. “I’m thrilled to be joining MapAnything at this stage of rapid growth,” says Silberstrom. “I've spent most of my career helping companies uncover critical insights to deliver amazing customer experiences. I firmly believe contextual location data and MapAnything’s Location-of-Things platform is transforming the way field-based employees engage with their customers. I look forward to supporting our customers on that journey, and supporting MapAnything growth as it scales to meet skyrocketing demand for its unique offerings.”
Marc’s appointment comes at an exciting time, on the heels of MapAnything announcing a $42.5M Series C with participation from existing investors Salesforce Ventures, Greycroft, Harbert Growth Partners and first-time participation from GM Ventures and Andrew Leto.
