DALLAS, Dec. 20, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Symphony RetailAI, the leading global provider of Artificial Intelligence-enabled decision platforms, solutions and customer-centric insights that drive validated growth for retailers and CPG manufacturers, announced today that it was named winner of The Global Annual Achievement Awards for Artificial Intelligence (Awards.AI) for the “Best Use of AI in Retail.”
Now in its third year, Awards.AI is the first and biggest global annual achievement awards for artificial intelligence. Recognizing the hard work and dedication of those in the AI community, the awards named 35 companies and individuals across six categories. Under the category for AI Business Application Awards, this was the first year to feature the award for “Best Use of AI in Retail,” with Symphony RetailAI as the winner. The nominations are reviewed by a panel of judges consisting of senior executives involved in the AI community.
Recognized for its development of retail-specific, AI-enabled solutions over the last 12 months, Symphony RetailAI has brought to market a number of offerings that enlist the power of AI and machine learning to help high volume retailers deliver significantly improved performance:
- SR Promotion PlanningAI – analyzes year-over-year promotion effectiveness and applies powerful AI-based forecasting models to provide recommendations that maximize sales, margin or volume.
- SR Personalized Marketing – new AI-enabled capabilities allow retailers to rapidly increase the scale, accuracy, timeliness and variety of offers they share with their customers, leading to significantly higher redemption rates and sales uplift.
- SR Demand ForecastingAI – uses artificial intelligence to generate more accurate demand forecasts for fresh and ultra-fresh grocery items alongside other categories, in turn improving service levels and reducing food waste.
These solutions came quickly on the heels of the company’s launch of CINDE, a first-of-its-kind artificial intelligence-enabled digital assistant for grocery and hard goods retail that processes billions of bits of data in real time, mining trends and anomalies, to serve up answers and next best actions in seconds that would take a team of analysts hours, days or weeks.
“It’s an honor to be recognized by Awards.AI as the leader in applying AI in retail,” said Dr. Pallab Chatterjee, Chairman and CEO, Symphony RetailAI. “This award speaks to our dedication to artificial intelligence in high volume retail, and moving it from hype to reality, as we continue to innovate and release more AI-based solutions that will deliver profitable revenue growth and efficiencies across marketing, merchandising and supply chain.”
This “Best Use of AI in Retail” award adds to the growing recognition of Symphony RetailAI’s innovative capabilities. In July, the company was included in EnsembleIQ’s 2018 Retail Technology Innovation Index, where it was recognized as one of the top four companies for product innovation.
