NEW YORK, March 15, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Lovepop, creator of unique laser-cut pop-up greeting cards, today opened its first-ever brick and mortar store at The Shops & Restaurants at Hudson Yards in New York City. Part of the Floor of Discovery, the new Lovepop store will join other digitally native brands setting up permanent homes to connect with consumers in more ways.
The opening of its first brick and mortar store marks a momentous time for Lovepop, which recently hit the milestone of 5 million total cards shipped since its founding in 2014. With more than 400 designs, Lovepop continues to charge toward its mission of creating one billion magical moments with unforgettable cards.
On the Floor of Discovery, Lovepop joins brands like Mack Weldon, Rhone, Heidi Klein, M. Gemi, Milk & Honey Babies, MUJI and more, as many of them open their first-ever or first-permanent retail location.
“We are beyond excited to have Hudson Yards as the home for Lovepop’s first brick and mortar store, and to join our fellow digital native brands connecting with consumers offline,” said Wombi Rose, CEO and co-founder of Lovepop. “At Lovepop Hudson Yards, our goal is to create an unexpected experience that we’ve never showcased before. Through a combination of engineering and design, customers will be immersed into Lovepop’s style of art and inspired to do something meaningful for someone special in their lives.”
Visitors will have easy access to the High Line and an underground connection to the No. 7 Subway, making the Hudson Yards retail center one of the most accessible destinations in New York City and exposing the magic of Lovepop to millions of new shoppers.
“Ever since we started, we’ve used an omni channel sales approach to maximize our audience and expose our unique products to people everywhere,” said Colin Spillane, General Manager, Retail at Lovepop. “By prioritizing physical retail, digital and third-party sellers, we’re able to reach a wider audience and show the Lovepop magic in more places. With the opening of our first brick and mortar store, Lovepop is creating more opportunities to make every moment meaningful.”
The Lovepop store at Hudson Yards opens today and will stock the company’s full card inventory.
