(“Biodelta”), a South Africa based developer and manufacturer of complementary and alternative medicines and food related supplements.

Nel-Marie Swart (Co-founder and Pharmaceutical Director - Biodelta) is an expert natural and ethical medicine professional. As a passionate entrepreneur, she loves to create ideas and products into sustainable business ventures. After starting as a Retail Pharmacist in Cape Town, South Africa, she gained extensive experience in the pharma industry, including specialization in Hospital Pharmacy, Production of High Schedule Ethical Medicine, and the Regulation of Ethical and Complementary Medicine.
During her career, Mrs. Swart has formulated and produced over 1,000 pharmaceutical and nutraceutical products for national as well as international brands. She takes responsibility for all product development, regulatory information for label claims, writing of package inserts, technical specifications, material safety data sheets, training manuals and all legislation and or regulatory principles. She has a passion for training and sharing of product knowledge and has trained medical doctors, product representatives, pharmacists and pharmacy personnel in over 400 pharmacy and corporate stores nationwide.
She received a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree at the Potchefstroom University (now NWU) and completed additional courses in family planning, emergency response, pharmacy practice, regulatory certification as well as NQF level 2 Food Handling and GMP. She has vast experience in setting up and maintaining ISO 22000 systems as well as cGMP facilities.
Leon Giese (Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer - Biodelta) is responsible for New Business Development at Biodelta and has over the years developed the company’s customer base to include national brands, national retail chains, and international customers. Mr. Giese’s passion is Sales Process Engineering, using logical thinking processes to uncover a customer’s significant need and crafting a custom solution to meet this need.
Prior to co-founding Biodelta, Mr. Giese worked at Cameron McKenna Law Firm (London), Harper Collins (London), and The Time Newspaper (London) in various business analysis roles. He also volunteered at Lifeline as facilitator, telephone counsellor, and presenter of the Lifeline personal growth course.
Mr. Giese received his Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1997 from the University of Cape Town, has a Diploma in Financial Information Systems (1995) and a Diploma in Packaging Technology (2002). He is trained in the Logical Thinking Processes, Predictive Index Personality Testing and is currently qualifying as Business and Life Coach.
Joey Bruwer (Managing Director - Biodelta) has for the past 8 years overseen the Biodelta management team and ensures that the right people are on the bus, in the right seats, and inspired to move the company forward. Mr. Bruwer has had a lifelong passion for business and the development of people through business.
Mr. Bruwer has been successful at assisting many organizations with creating sustainable growth. He has spent his formative years in Hong Kong and China, building teams of people while quadrupling export sales for Alcan, a multinational manufacturing company. Mr. Bruwer was assessed to be in the Top 2 Percent of the Asia Pacific division before returning home to South Africa and becoming co-owner of Biodelta.
During his time at Biodelta, he has been part of a focused executive team that has grown Biodelta’s sales by a factor of 10X. He is currently responsible for Biodelta’s innovative seed stock model that will pave the way for products onto the shelves of 1000 independent pharmacies in South Africa.
Mr. Bruwer holds a Bachelor of Science degree (honours) from the University of Stellenbosch and has studied under world renowned Mind Power author, John Kehoe.

The Company (NHEL) has signed a term sheet (the “Agreement”) to acquire a 51% majority interest in Biodelta (Pty) Ltd. for US$1.6 million. The closing of the proposed transaction contemplated by the Agreement is subject to terms and conditions, including, but not limited to, completion of due diligence, execution of definitive agreements between the parties, securing required funding, and preparation of audited and unaudited financial statements. The Company expects to release additional information regarding the planned Biodelta acquisition as due diligence proceeds.
