Los Angeles, March 21, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- VISION, the latest Snaidero-Pininfarina kitchen design collaboration and a 2018 GOOD DESIGN Award winner, will be available to order exclusively through Snaidero USA in North and Central America starting in April.
Founded in 1950 by the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, GOOD DESIGN is one of the oldest and most prestigious international programs recognizing industry excellence. Snaidero kitchens have a long history with the award, with VISION being the company’s 15th design to win over the last twenty years. Seven of the fifteen winning models have been created in partnership with Pininfarina.
The VISION concept presents the kitchen as a space where imagination and technical innovation come together to create an inspiring, user-centered space with a very distinct identity. It’s a kitchen centered on flowing surfaces and perfect geometries, where the “wonder of form” doesn’t just provide aesthetic beauty but also functionality.
At the heart of the design is a unique visual mark that is carried out across multiple elements, echoing through the space, making it fluid and dynamic by connecting the different functional areas and creating stylistic symmetries.
- In the island/peninsula, the visual mark takes the form of a sculpted base in stratified and shaped solid ash wood – the product of advanced industrial technology and the skilled work of Snaidero’s craftsmen. The base also features an integrated silicone LED strip that further enhances its visual appeal.
- The island incorporates a wooden shelf that mirrors the shape of the base, bringing a sense of lightness to the room.
- The pantry brings the design full circle by featuring diagonal doors whose shape carries over to the attached open storage system with cross-brushed stainless-steel back panel.
VISION represents the 8th design of the highly celebrated partnership between Snaidero and Pininfarina, joining an impressive list of iconic and award-winning kitchen projects the two Italian companies have developed over the last 28 years.
VISION will be available through any of the 20 showrooms and exclusive, independent dealers that make up Snaidero USA’s retail network in North and Central America.
