(NYSE American: DSS) ("DSS"), a leader in anti-counterfeit, authentication, and diversion protection technologies, announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Zappar, Ltd., an award-winning developer of Augmented Reality (“AR”) and interactive delivery experiences.
The partnership engages two industry-leading companies whose combined technologies offer an innovative and unique solution to massively expand the ways consumers interact with brands to create new experiences and build connections while providing more data from which businesses can accelerate topline sales growth and protect the bottom line.
Zappar’s AR technologies can turn almost anything (print, POS, product, packaging, place) into an interactive delivery channel serving video, animation, games, competitions, additional information, data capture mechanics, social shares and more. DSS and Zappar will use the integration of proprietary secure marking and augmented reality to turn product packaging into an innovative virtual platform of engagement, discovery and product safety.
