WEST DES MOINES, Iowa, April 02, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Leading insurance and annuity financial services company Midland National® Life Insurance Company (Midland National), a member company of Sammons® Financial Group (SFG), announced the recent hiring of Marty Kennedy as vice president of distribution and sales, independent broker/dealer. Kennedy is an established financial services professional with over 25-years of experience in sales, recruiting, and marketing.
In this role, Kennedy will oversee Midland National’s development of its independent broker/dealer distribution channel and strategy. His responsibilities will also include broker/dealer relationship management; building and management of a wholesaling team; and working closely with existing distribution teams to maximize opportunities. In addition, Kennedy will work closely with other SFG divisions to leverage future broker/dealer opportunities.

Previous to this, Kennedy led the general agency life division sales team at Lincoln Financial. Kennedy is a graduate of the University of North Carolina in Asheville where he received a degree in economics.
