ST. LOUIS, May 14, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Amdocs (NASDAQ: DOX), a leading provider of software and services to communications and media companies, today revealed that it has extended its partnership with Capita Business Services, a leading provider of technology enabled business services, to deliver significant elements of the technology, testing and professional services that supported the rollout of Transport for London’s new Ultra-Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) regulations and standards, which launched on April 8th 2019. The ULEZ replaces the existing emissions surcharge (the ‘T-charge’), so that vehicles travelling in central London will now have to meet new, tighter emissions standards, or pay a daily charge.

Amdocs worked alongside Capita to provide key digital business systems and automation technology to enable Transport for London to charge highly polluting vehicles for entering specific zones within the city, encouraging the use of cleaner cars, improving the UK capital’s air quality, and creating the world’s largest ULEZ.
