Boston, MA, July 24, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The 26th Annual Charity Golf Tournament to benefit the Children’s Hospital Bernice & Philip Frieze Family Support Fund took place on Monday, July 15, 2018 at the Pinehills Golf Club in Plymouth, Massachusetts. The tournament benefited the Children’s Hospital Bernice & Philip Frieze Family Support Fund which was founded in 1974 to assist needy families with travel, accommodations, and other essentials associated with their child’s treatment at Boston Children’s Hospital. Thousands of parents have been financially supported by this special fund since its founding.

The tournament and fund benefit more than 500 families each year that must temporarily relocate to seek treatment for a sick child at Boston Children’s Hospital or for whom significant disruption occurs in the form of the interruption of employment and child care. Support comes in the form of assistance with housing, food, childcare, and transportation expenses.
