Jostens Welcomes New Yearbook Ambassador

Nationally recognized yearbook adviser Casey Nichols, MJE, joins leading yearbook publisher

Minneapolis, Aug. 14, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --

Jostens, the leading provider of yearbooks serving the K-12 and college markets, announced today that Casey Nichols, MJE, one of the nation’s top yearbook advisers, has joined the company as a yearbook Ambassador.

Nichols, who has been recognized as a National High School Yearbook Adviser of the Year by the Journalism Education Association, is joining the Jostens team as an Ambassador. His focus as an Ambassador will be on working closely with staffs to produce outstanding yearbooks that highlight the best of students and schools everywhere.

"Bringing Casey on board has been one of the most exciting things I have done to help Jostens,” said Paul Bussell, vice president of sales for Jostens’ yearbook division. “His experience and expertise will help schools thrive and achieve their goals. The Ambassador position brings value to schools and is a perfect fit for Casey.”

Jostens began its Ambassador program in 2017 by bringing Margaret Sorrows, CJE, onto the team. Sorrows retired from Bryant High School in Bryant, Ark., where she was also awarded the title of National Journalism Teacher of the Year.

Together with Sorrows’ 36 years of advising award-winning publications, Nichols will bring more than seven decades of experience to Jostens customers.

“Casey will become a key component to our Creative Account Management team,” Bussell said. “I am excited to watch Casey grow in his new position.”

The Jostens Ambassador program is an offshoot of Jostens’ Creative Account Management program. The CAM team features nationally renowned leaders in the field of scholastic publications like Rick Brooks, CJE; TIna Cleavelin, CJE; Jeff Moffitt, MJE; and Lizabeth Walsh, MJE. The team works individually with schools across North America to foster creative ideas and innovative approaches to yearbook content and creation. Collectively, Brooks, Cleavelin, Moffitt and Walsh have more than 100 additional years of experience in helping students produce award-winning publications.
