NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Oct. 21, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Hydroponics, Inc., a national provider of agricultural supplies and logistics specific to the cannabis and hemp industries, today announced the appointment of Dr. Darius Faizi as the Head of Research and Development. Dr. Faizi will work with Hydroponics’ cultivator partners to reduce cost, improve yield, and enhance plant health. He will also conduct proprietary research on the efficacy of marketplace products.
Dr. Faizi holds a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of California, Irvine, and a B.S. in chemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles. For the past seven years, Dr. Faizi has provided independent consulting for cannabis cultivators through development of broad-spectrum plant nutrition and has developed several successful cannabis nutrient product lines for commercial cultivators.
“The necessary expense of nutrients, fertilizers, and consumables is the largest recurring spend for almost every commercial cultivator. Dr. Faizi’s experience and skillset will be invaluable to Hydroponics, Inc. and our clients; ensuring low costs, increasing profitability, and implementing best practices for their farms,” said Ken Alston, CEO of Hydroponics, Inc.
“Hydroponics, Inc. is the expert in cannabis supply chain management and, as Head of Research and Development, I hope to demystify the science behind growing cannabis as well as expose the faux science that is prevalent in the industry. Through chemistry, cultivators can reduce cost, increase yield, and enhance plant health, all while staying compliant within industry regulations,” said Faizi.
