Rochester, Minn., Oct. 22, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On October 17th, Hilton Rochester Mayo Clinic Area, the newest Hilton property in Rochester, Minn., hosted a lavish event to celebrate the hotel’s successful opening, Hilton’s 100-year anniversary and a continued successful partnership with Mayo Clinic. The event featured a red carpet, aerial dancers, live music and an impressive fireworks display. Guests included prominent members of Hilton Corporate and Mayo Clinic as well as influential individuals from the city of Rochester.

The relationship with Hilton hotels and Mayo Clinic dates back to the 1920’s. Conrad Hilton, founder of the Hilton Hotels chain, was a loyal patient at Mayo Clinic and enjoyed frequent visits to the city of Rochester. In 1972, Hilton’s donation of $10 million helped launch the Conrad N. Hilton Medical Laboratory and Research Center in Human Behavior, which was the first building in the Mayo complex designed specifically for laboratory medicine. Today, Hilton Rochester Mayo Clinic Area joins the Conrad N. Hilton Building for Laboratory Medicine in service to the city, region, nation and world.
