SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 23, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Slalom, the modern consulting firm focused on strategy, technology, and business transformation, donated a San Francisco-themed mural to The Women’s Building on Thursday, October 17th. The large-scale piece of art was commissioned by Slalom.Org to celebrate The Women’s Building’s tremendous impact on the San Francisco community.
Slalom.Org is a group within Slalom that focuses on giving back to the local community and the non-profits that serve it. The mural was hand-painted live by local artist Christo Oropeza earlier this year at a Slalom event called REALIZE, which brings Slalom’s local clients, partners, and employees together.
During the event, Slalom.Org asked attendees, “What does community mean to you?” Oropeza integrated responses into the art at the event, creating a unique piece of art inspired by San Francisco’s own community. The finished mural is a map of San Francisco, with descriptions like “resilience,” “support,” and others in multiple languages, representing the diversity of the city.
