Miami, FL, May 27, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via NewMediaWire -- Amazonas Florestal, Ltd (OTC: AZFL), a natural resources company dedicated to the processing of Industrial Hemp, High-CBD Hemp Products and the preservation of rainforest properties in Brazil that are eligible for REDD Plus Carbon Credits—a United Nations program—announced a recap of recent company material events. Recently the Company returned to current and compliant status with OTC Markets as a Pink Sheets Information Tier Company, having reorganized after a period of almost 3 years. Management is currently working diligently with hired accountants to complete a PCAOB audit of its records that should be completed in the month of July 2021. The completion of the PCAOB audit is the final requirement for the company to become eligible for funding facilities that would serve to fund company business plans in Latin America. Also last week the DTC (Depository Trust Company) registered and approved Amazonas Florestal Ltd. for DWAC/FAST electronic deposit and transfer of its shares.
As previously reported, the Company has secured a Business Loan for its subsidiary Green America Laboratories to complete its facility that will become South Florida’s first major Industrial Hemp processor and bulk cannabinoid extractor. The GAL facility, located in Northwest Miami-Dade County has been secured, the permit applications and proposed building plans have been submitted and are currently being reviewed by the Miami-Dade County Building and Planning Department. Management has also signed agreements with a General Contractor and expects swift approval of these permits in order to begin the buildout phase.
AZFL’s international business negotiations have also had considerable advances thus far this second quarter. The Company has signed intention documents to build a second cannabinoid extraction lab with T-Sep and Delta-8 Conversion capabilities in the country of Colombia.
Management also recently hired consultants in Mexico that are completing applications and business plans that will license AZFL to import and distribute Premium CBD and Delta-8 products in that country. Mexico has a population of almost 130 million and only recently has enacted laws similar to Canada legalizing medical uses for marijuana and will soon follow course to legalize Marijuana recreationally.
Amazonas Florestal’s Chairman/CEO Ricardo Cortez was in Mexico last week to sign agreements that will poise the Company to achieve a dual listing with BIVA—the Mexican Stock Exchange. The approval, expected in approximately 180 days, will allow the company to raise capital in Mexico in order to fund its business plans there and in other Latin American countries.
Ricardo Cortez stated: “AZFL management and I would like to thank all of our shareholders and supporters that have made it possible for Amazonas Florestal to return to compliancy. I am personally very pleased to report that we are gaining traction daily with all of our present projects that will take AZFL to the next level. GAL can be expected to become one of the most important hemp processors in the South this year and our vision is to participate in similar projects overseas that have gained the interest and acceptance of our supporters in several Latin American countries -- Mexico and Colombia for starters -- where amidst legalization the products manufactured by GAL become open for distribution to the public in those jurisdictions.”
