LAS VEGAS, April 05, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- G4 Tequilas, a line of ultra-premium tequilas from legendary master distillery Felipe Camarena, sustainably distilled using estate spring water and harvested rainwater, won two Platinum and two Gold medals at the recent TAG Global Spirits Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada.
G4 won Platinum medals for their Añejo and Extra Añejo expressions. G4 Añejo Tequila is aged at least 18 months and has aromas of agave, natural vanilla, caramel, citrus and cinnamon with additional tasting notes of pepper and butterscotch. The Extra Añejo is aged for at least three years in old Tennessee whiskey barrels and has tasting notes of light oak, vanilla, caramel and baking spices intermingled with floral, citrus, and dark berry notes.
G4's Blanco and Reposado expressions each took home Gold medals. G4's Blanco Tequila is the purest expression of Blue Weber Agave, and its clear, crisp flavors, silky texture, and spicy and peppery tasting notes make it a perennial hit with tequila enthusiasts. The TAG Global Spirits Awards were created by world-renowned mixologist Tony Abou-Ganim, U.S. industry veteran David Grapshi, and American ambassador of Mexico's National Chamber for the Tequila Industry, Julio Bermejo. An acclaimed panel of international spirits experts judged the entries over three rounds to determine medal winners in multiple spirits categories. Entries were graded using a scoring methodology that creates consistency by assessing the same universal qualities in every bottle, modified for each category.
