Numara Software Expands Presence in Growing Asia Pacific Region

Company Sets Up Direct Operations in Australia, Appoints Industry Veteran Geoff Masters as Vice President of APAC Sales


TAMPA, FL--(Marketwire - Aug 3, 2011) - Numara® Software, a global leader in service management and PC lifecycle management solutions for IT professionals, announced the launch of its operations in the thriving and rapidly evolving Asia Pacific region. Recognizing the tremendous growth opportunity for Numara FootPrints and Track-It! family of IT management solutions, the company expanded its global presence and recruited industry veteran, Geoff Masters, to spearhead the initiative. Masters will serve as vice president of APAC sales at the Sydney headquarters and oversee all APAC operations in the Melbourne and Tokyo field offices.

Numara is building on its existing partner foundation in the area to create a full APAC sales and support organization. Under Masters' leadership, the headquarters in Sydney will grow to be the company's sales and support hub for the entire APAC region. He has held numerous APAC managing director roles for global companies such as Sterling Software, Computer Associates and Altiris, as well as CEO and director level positions at companies that he has taken through IPOs on the Australian Stock Exchange.

Masters is an Australian citizen, residing in Sydney and most recently served as an executive at Tripoint Corporation, an Australian-based IT systems integration consultancy.

As a part of this APAC expansion, Numara purchased its business from its Australian partner, Salamander Services, and will lead all customer and partner interactions. Salamander Services conducted business as a Numara agent in Australia and New Zealand and was instrumental in building awareness for Numara and its products in the region. The company will continue to operate under the name Salamander Services for other business ventures.
