Apivio Signs Global Distribution Agreement with NEC Japan

VANCOUVER, BC--(Marketwired - December 15, 2016) - Apivio Systems Inc. ("Apivio" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: APV), a leading provider of VoIP solutions, today announced that it has signed a definitive agreement with NEC Corporation (TSE: 6701) ("NEC Japan") to distribute Apivio's Android-based desk phones under the NEC brand globally. Apivio had initially partnered in 2014 with NEC Corporation of America ("NECAM"), a subsidiary of NEC Corporation, to co-develop and sell its Monet series UT880 Android desk phone. The definitive agreement with NEC Japan comes with similar terms and conditions as the NECAM agreement. Apivio expects to begin shipping products under this agreement in mid-2017.
