PÖYRY STRENGTHENS ITS BUILDING SERVICES OPERATIONS


Pöyry has strengthened the operations of its Infrastructure & Environment business group's real estate and telecommunications business by acquiring 100 per cent of the shares of Quatrocon, a company specialising in HVAC design. With net sales of EUR 1.1 million in 2006, the company employs 14 experts.
 
Founded in 1985, Quatrocon's clientele consists of public sector builders, central trading companies and major construction firms. Its office is situated in Espoo, Finland, and it also has experience of the Russian market. The former owners of the company will continue in Pöyry's employment after the transaction. Quatrocon Oy will be merged with Pöyry Building Services Oy.
 
Pöyry is a global consulting and engineering firm focusing on the energy, forest industry and infrastructure & environment sectors. Pöyry's net sales in 2006 amounted to about EUR 620 million and it employs 7000 experts.
