LONDON--(Marketwire - October 9, 2009) - HROA
Europe, the leading professional organization focused on the challenge
of HR outsourcing, and SharedXpertise, an independent,
global membership-based community of business professionals, today
announced details of the upcoming 2009 HRO World Summit
Europe. The largest and most comprehensive human resource operations
(HRO) conference in Europe, this years' event will feature workshops and
sessions focused on the summit's theme "HR's role in driving the CEO's
agenda: Innovative execution and planning for recovery." More than 250
senior executives -- including Chief HR Officers, vice presidents of HR and
Shared Services Management as well as executives from finance, IT and other
areas that need to take advantage of the evolution of the HR function --
are expected exchange views on driving HR activities through shared
services and outsourcing.
For the first time, the event is moving from Brussels to London, beginning
an annual rotation around Europe. This year it will be held at Grange St
Paul's, 10 Godliman St., from Wednesday, 18 November through Thursday, 19
November 2009. It will commence with a welcome reception on Tuesday, 17
November.
"At the 2009 HRO World Summit Europe, attendees can plan for the recovery
and learn important survival strategies for these uncertain times. We
understand that travel and conference budgets are tight, so we've packed as
much as possible into this one, interactive event to make it a must-attend.
We have a wide range of workshops and sessions presented by HR,
globalization and organizational efficiency thought leaders focused on
actual buyer experiences and real-world HR practices. We expect attendees
to find the return on their investments to be clear and immediate,"
commented Faye Holland, conference organiser.
Keynote speaker Christophe Laval, author of the French-language book "A
Plea for Recognition at Work," will discuss the intersection of three
European mega trends -- performance management, HR outsourcing and
recognition at work. Tim Palmer, conference chair and member of PA's Management Group, and Richard
Coughlin, also a member of PA's
Management Group, will host "Living with Zombies: HR's Cost Reduction
Challenge in 2010," an interactive workshop for buyers on HR's key role in
bringing the economy back to life. Sarah Seabury, director, TPI, will present "Service Delivery," a
workshop for experienced buyers who are looking to drive success in
existing outsourcing relationships.
Focused on actual customer experiences of primarily senior executives of
Global 1000 organisations and government, additional sessions include an
RPO case study presented by Wolfgang Brickwedde, senior director, EMEA
Recruitment, SAP AG, and D. Zachary
Misko, global director, RPO, Kelly Outsourcing
and Consulting Group. Chris Lomer, European Compensation & Benefits
Project manager at Avery
Dennison will give a plenary case study on driving changes in
