revised release: CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD JANSSEN RESUMES DUTIES AND APPOINTMENT OF A NEW MEMBER OF THE MANAGEMENT BOARD AT HEIJMANS N.V.

Dick Van der Kroft is currently employed at Koninklijke Volker Wessels Stevin N.V., in Rotterdam as director of Finances and Administration, and prior to that, worked as controller (until 1996) at Asea Brown Boveri B.V., in Rotterdam. From 1981 to 1985 Dick Van der Kroft worked at KPMG accountants.
On the management board of Heijmans, Dick Van der Kroft will be responsible for the Finances and Information Technology portfolio as from 1 December 2000. As chairman, Joop Janssen is responsible for strategy and planning, personnel and organisation, as well as public relations and investor relations.

In connection with the intended appointment, a special General Meeting of Shareholders will be held on 9 November 2000. The Central Works Council of Heijmans has meanwhile given a positive recommendation about the envisioned entry of Mr. Van der Kroft to the management board of Heijmans.

Heijmans will publish its results for the first half of the current financial year on 7 September.
