RACINE, Wis., June 23, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Pacific Sands, Inc. (OTCBB:PFSD) announced today that the company will begin running the first of its direct response television ads next week in select markets.
The company has upgraded the products offered in its initial ads to a unique, new water treatment device in order to take advantage of what management referred to as a "huge unfulfilled marketplace."
"We believe that this shift in focus will generate a much faster revenue stream than our initial plan of introducing the cleaning products via direct response ads. This new product fills a unique niche in the water treatment market that is currently not served," said Pacific Sands president and CEO Michael Wynhoff.
Michael Michie, CFO and VP of marketing and sales added, "The television ads for this new product will help establish a significant brand identity for the Pacific Sands name with a unique, quality product that has very limited competition."
Pacific Sands has contracted a well-established call center able to field a nearly unlimited number of calls to efficiently take orders and pass them on the company. The company has also established sufficient inventory, materials, and infrastructure to fulfill orders for the initial regional and national cable runs of the commercial.
Management anticipates that they will go into production on the second round of direct response ads within the next two to three months. In addition to the product being offered, the ad will prominently display the Pacific Sands stock ticker and a new website for ordering additional products offered by the company.
Upon successful completion of the test runs and re-edits, the company will begin a campaign of national direct response TV ads. Management has opted to omit both product details and run locations until the completion of initial tests and re-edits to avoid skewing test results.
